Welcome and ברוכים הבאים

ree

This is a layman's blog. I am going to base what I post on extensive research and knowledgeable sources, but I won't limit myself to them. I want to give a very simple representation of what otherwise is a convoluted and impossibly controversial subject because of all the imagined effects of every word written on this otherwise fascinating topic.

The early Jewish-Christian community. Such a touchy and consequential topic to most people, but otherwise a truly fascinating and tragic story.

I want to delve into it with an open mind - and to consciously detach myself from all the other stuff that might certainly exist but are not essential, and certainly not required, in order to learn as much as one possibly can on the topic.

I bring to the table first and foremost my language and my culture. I live in Israel and I speak fluent Hebrew. I walk the walk in many ways, and I talk the talk. Secondly, I come from an extensive and advanced Jewish studies background, including years spent in a Yeshiva with all that this entails. I am acquainted with the Rabbinical sources in all their forms, on top of all the other precious materials like Biblical studies and Jewish thought. I have a bachelor's degree in the Arts. That is all. I won't ever suggest otherwise, and I won't ever presume to be any authority on any subject, so don't even start.

I hope you will enjoy accompanying me in this really exciting and heart-wrenching story of a whole community that was wiped out somehow from history and people's hearts, but really had a lot to say, and I feel still does.
